The SEARCH project has been developed to follow up the Italian-Hungarian indoor air quality project and implement a new cooperation on air quality in schools, between the following eight countries:

Albania • Austria • Bosnia Herzegovina • Hungary • Italy • Norway • Serbia • Slovakia

The project is implemented with the generous support of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea

Main aims

• Implementation of the EU Environment and Health Strategy, Action Plan and the CEHAPE through both active involvement in European processes and the development of efficient instruments and tools for multi-stakeholder cooperation.
• The regional participation in implementation of the CEHAPE Priority Goal 3: Prevention and reducing respiratory disease due to out-door and indoor air pollution by complex research involvement in schools.

Objectives

• To assess the associations between the school environment and child respiratory health
• To make recommendations to improve the quality of the school environment
